Sculcoates Res. 2 Holme Rovers 1sts 7

What a difference from last season when Holme lost 3-2 and probable gave their worst display of the season.
It was nice for a chance for our supporters to have a relaxing second half with Sculcoates well beaten and Holme well in front with the scoreline.
Holme started quickly with Gareth Saltmer crossing the ball invitingly to Nick Cage who blasted the ball way over the crossbar from close range and there was me thinking Nick Cannot finish!!! Against the run of play Sculcoates went into the lead but this did not stop Holme playing football on the ground and using the width of the pitch. Just before half time Holme got a very important goal making it 4-2. In the second half Sculcoates ''did not come out'' and Holme added a further 3 goals with no reply. Well done Holme that's a 100% record so far in league and cup. Oh by the way Nick Cage did get his shooting boots back on and ended up with 6 goals which has cost his mum a fortune at £1 a goal!
Lastly well done to our 2nd team who won their cup game yesterday and so maintain their 100% record.
